Global Graduates Connect brings programme participants into a network of fellow change makers working towards, individual, community, and global transformation.

The things we hear most from our girls when they finish our Global Girl Leadership Initiative (GGLI) are:

  • “What’s next?”

  • “How can I stay connected to Global Girl Project and to the girls I met as part of this process?

  • “Meeting and connecting with other girls from all over the world has made me realise I am not isolated”

In response to these questions, GGP has developed Global Graduates Connect (GGC) - our global network of changemaking girls from marginalised communities.

What started life as a digital platform, has, in response to the needs of the girls we work with developed into a blended offering of online and offline activities. The girls we work with are often not able to access the internet or online activites, so we work with local partners and girls to provide a range of context-specific and inclusive offerings. We bring our graduates into an ecosystem and connect them to a lifelong family of other women and girls who have participated in GGP programmes, and enabling them to continue learning and collaborating to drive change across their communities.

This currently includes:

  • Community Action Grant funding - providing micro grants to groups of girls to develop social action projects within their communities

  • Writing Training - delivered in person and online, helping girls develop their sense of voice

  • A Girl Advisory Board - providing girls an opportunity to shape the network and lead in new ways

  • Live cross country events - for girls to meet and connect with those all over the world

  • Global Girl Voices Blog - amplifying the voices and opinions of girls in the network

  • Learning material and online courses on a secure digital platform - providing opportunities to learn more about relevant issues and skills

[Global Graduates Connect] means we able to talk with girls just like us but from other countries or states... we have realised that they face the same challenges that we do and we want to always stay connected.
