What - or who - is a Global Changemaker?
GLOBAL CHANGEMAKERS is a real community, a group of individuals, families and groups who are mobilized and working for social change. It is a growing network of supporters that mirrors the growing network of Global Girl Scholars and Graduates.
Global Changemakers are our regular donors and big supporters of our work, those who are actively helping us to achieve our mission to change the world, one girl at a time.
How We Make A Difference
Why It Works
Global Girl Project partners with well-established NGOs throughout the Global South to work with girls in some of the world’s most marginalised communities, girls who are not given the platform, investment or expectation to become leaders - in fact nearly 1 in 4 girls aged 15 - 19 globally are not in education, employment or training, compared to 1 in 10 boys.
By investing in our girls and bringing them into an ever growing global network of girls and women, our girls gain confidence, creativity and leadership skills.
AND the change doesn’t stop there. We know that investing in girls impacts not just the individuals themselves but also their families, communities and countries. Developing girl leaders individually and collectively can change discriminatory laws, norms and practices and can also normalise the idea of girls being impactful, competent and successful leaders.
